City of Social Action
The City of Social Action seeks to make Manchester the place for youth voice, youth leadership and real change led by children and young people themselves.
Our aim is to make Manchester the world's first City of Social Action.
Hope for Cheetham
HOPE FOR CHEETHAM is a community-led, long term project with a bold vision to create a Cheetham Hill where children and young people growing up here “are empowered and supported by the entire community and system to achieve their hopes and ambitions”.
Mental Health and Wellbeing after COVID
Supported by Manchester Health and Care Commissioning, the Mental Health and Wellbeing after COVID Fund is unlocking the power of the youth VSCE sector to support young people's mental health, including through preventative youth work delivery and through a youth-led fund.
MSSP
The Manchester Supplementary School Partnership is a group of leaders and teachers from supplementary schools and out-of-school settings in Manchester. The Partnership works together to exchange experience, share learning and resources, and advocate and celebrate the amazing work of supplementary schools in Manchester.
Youth Alliance Greater Manchester
Youth Alliance GM is an informal partnership of over 140 organisations and groups supporting children and young people across Greater Manchester, drawn from the local VCSE sector, public sector youth services, housing associations and national charities.
Keeping Children and Young People Safe
The Keeping Children and Young People Safe programme aims to help young people in the city who have been affected by violence and lack of safety in their communities to feel:
- Hopeful - for their futures
- Safe - in their communities
- Respected - by their peers and professionals
- Supported - by the system
Covid Recovery Fund
A £1,040,000.00 fund supporting the VCSE sector to recover from the impact of the pandemic, restoring their vital community offers and growing resilience for future challenges.
Supporting the SEND Local Offer
Manchester City Council, Young Manchester and GMYN make up the SEND partnership supporting the delivery of activities for disabled children and young people (up to 18) in the Manchester City Council Area. Most recently this included our first youth-led fund created by and for disabled young people.
LEAD+
LEAD+ is a 6 month leadership programme delivered in partnership with the Oglesby Charitable Trust, offersingcontinued personal and professional development opportunities to strengthen the sector and therefore opportunities for young people in the city.
Young Manchester Ambassadors
Our Ambassador programme is led by young staff Liv and Hasaan. They support young activists and changemakers in Manchester to influence and lead Young Manchester's own decision-making, whilst providing personal development opportunities and fun!
