Hope for Cheetham: Youth Fund!
The Hope for Cheetham: Youth Fund is here to give young people the chance to design and run youth social action projects. Youth Social Action means young people making a positive difference in their community. Whether you want to run an event, start a campaign, create something artistic, tackle an issue you care about, or bring people together - this fund is for your ideas, led your way.
You don’t need any previous experience. If forms, planning or budgets feel confusing, we’ll support you step-by-step.
Two pots of funding – choosing the one that’s right for you!
Pot 1: Young People’s Fund (£250–£5,000)
- For young people who want to run their own project.
- For ages 10–18, or up to 25 if you have additional needs or are care-experienced
- For youth-led, not-for-profit projects based in Cheetham Hill
- Open to any idea that makes a positive difference to other young people or the community
Pot 2: Organisation-Led Youth Projects (£5,000–£10,000)
- For projects that are youth-led, but supported by an organisation (e.g., youth groups, schools, community organisations).
- Children and young people of all ages are welcome to apply for Pot 2 with the support of an organisation.
- For youth-led, not-for-profit projects based in Cheetham Hill
- This pot suits bigger projects needing more structure or adult support behind the scenes, for example when managing the finances.
📝Organisations can only submit one application for Pot 2, but they can support as many young people as they like to apply for Pot 1.
- When supporting a young person to apply for Pot 1, we encourage organisations to ask young people to include a small management fee in their budget to cover the organisation’s time.
We're looking for projects that are:
- Led by young people
- Shaped by youth voice from start to finish
- Making a positive difference to children, young people or the wider community
- Must be based in Cheetham Hill
