We're Hiring a Head of Operations & Youth Programmes

Are you an experienced operations leader, passionate about creating opportunities and better outcomes for children and young people? Young Manchester is looking for a Head of Operations and Youth Programmes to play a key strategic role in driving the organisation forward; overseeing day-to-day operations, leading programme delivery, and ensuring that young people remain at the heart of everything we do.

Salary: £45,718 p.a (5 days/wk)

Contract: 12-month fixed term (with potential for extension)

Role Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Location: Sister, Renold Building, 32a Altrincham St, Manchester, M1 7JR

Working Pattern: Full Time (hybrid)

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced operations manager who is passionate about securing great outcomes for children and young people; can work with the CEO to managing the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving charity, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows, overseeing team and performance management, supervising finance operations, and coordinating other core operational activities.

As Head of Operations & Youth Programmes, you will manage the development and implementation of systems and processes for Young Manchester’s core activities and diverse ongoing programmes. This role is particularly critical as Young Manchester continues to grows the organisation. As the head of youth programmes, you will work with the CEO to develop and manage our youth community wealth building, advocacy, social action initiatives.

The postholder will ensure that children and young people are shaping Young Manchester’s work, in order to maximise opportunities for young people. There is ample scope for an ambitious, creative and organised person to develop this post and be part of an exciting new chapter for Young Manchester.
