
Youth-led Community Safety Grants of £1 - 15k
What are the grants for?
The grants exist fund youth-led social action projects that aim to tackle violence that impacts on young people, and increase community safety.
The grants has been designed in collaboration with young people, and funding decisions will be made by young people.
The grants seek to put power in the hands of young people to lead the way in creating a Manchester where children and young people are safe and live free from the impacts of violence.
Can I apply?
The grants are open to groups children and young people who are supported in their applications by not-for-profit organisations, as well as organisations that are seeking to strengthen youth voice and youth leadership.
Projects must:
- Be led by and have positive impact on children and young people aged 18 and under
- Be based in Manchester
- Take place between October 2023 - January 2024
- Make a positive difference to community safety, and help children and young people feel hopeful, respected, safe and supported
How much funding is available?
There are three Pots available:
- Pot 1: £1-3k for small scale or one off youth led projects
- Pot 2: £5-7k for medium scale or medium term youth led projects
- Pot 3: £10-15k for larger scale or longer term projects that seek to strengthen youth leadership or youth voice. (This pot may be used to part fund a longer term project).
