About Hope for Cheetham

HOPE FOR CHEETHAM is a community-led, long term project with a bold vision to create a Cheetham Hill where children and young people growing up here “are empowered and supported by the entire community and system to achieve their hopes and ambitions”.

With the community, non-profit groups, education, businesses, faith institutions, the public sector and young people themselves we’re working together to achieve our seven goals:

• All young people are safe in Cheetham
• Girls and young women are protected from gender based violence
• Young people have routes out of crime and violence
• Young people have better access to employment, training and inclusive education
• Young people from ethnic minority backgrounds are not disadvantaged by systemic racism and inequity
• Young people are more hopeful for their future.
• “Hope for Cheetham” facilitates long-term, sustainable system change in Cheetham Hill
