We're looking for Trustees to Help Expand Our Partnerships
Young Manchester are currently looking for new trustees. We are particularly keen to hear from people with corporate and fundraising experience to join our passionate and diverse board of trustees, helping us to make sure that every child and young person in Manchester can thrive through outstanding opportunities and shape their city.
As our trustee, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our organizational strategy and expanding our strategic engagement with businesses.
Role Summary:
You’ll work with the other trustees to ensure Young Manchester is carrying out its purposes for the public benefit. In this position, you’ll ensure Young Manchester is accountable by governing, supporting and challenging its leadership.
Young Manchester has a diverse, active and engaged board. However we are particularly looking for further support that can increase the resources we have to invest in change for young people. We’d love our new Trustees to help with expanding our strategic engagement with business and diversify its fundraising streams through corporate and enterprise opportunities.
As with other Trustees, the key responsibilities are:
Governance: You will advise and approve the charity’s strategic direction, whilst monitoring the performance and risk of the organisation. You will act with care and skill when helping the board make decisions and comply with Young Manchester’s governing document and the law.
Strategic Partnerships Development: You will advise on the development and implementation of strategic partnerships programme and the management of associated risks. You will also ensure all strategic business partnerships plans are aligned to both short-term and long-term objectives each year and Young Manchester’s policies and values.
External Relations: You will act as an ambassador for Young Manchester and represent the charity at sector external functions, meetings and events.
